After breakfast, depart for the archaeological site of Carthage. Discover the Punic Tophet, Antonin Baths, and the theater.
CARTHAGE: Founded in the 9th century BC on the Gulf of Tunis, Carthage established a commercial empire by the 6th century, extending to much of the Mediterranean world and becoming the seat of a brilliant civilization. During the long Punic wars, Carthage occupied Roman territories but was ultimately destroyed by Rome in 146 BC. A new Roman Carthage was later founded on its ruins.
Lunch in La Goulette, then depart for the village of Sidi Bou Said. Stroll through cobbled streets lined with white houses accented by blue shutters and mashrabiya.
SIDI BOU SAID: A picturesque Tunisian gem perched on a hill offering stunning views. It’s a charming retreat and home to several diplomatic residences and famous international artists. Don’t miss a mint tea break.
Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight at Le MAJESTIC 4* hotel or similar.
Depart for Thuburbo Majus via Zaghouan. Visit the Capitol, Forum, Villa of Neptune, Petronius’ Palaestra, Baths, and Market Square.
Proceed to Dougga, the best-preserved Roman city in Tunisia. Visit the Capitol (the best-preserved monument in North Africa), Roman Theater, Baths, Tripholium, Latrines, and the Libyco-Punic Mausoleum.
Check in at Hotel Thugga in Dougga. Dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast at the hotel and depart for Kairouan. Visit the city and have lunch at Kasbah Kairouan Hotel.
KAIROUAN: An Islamic city where the Arab general Okba Ibnou Nafaa began his conquest of the Western Maghreb. Founded in 671, Kairouan saw fierce resistance from the Berbers. The 4th century is considered the golden age of Kairouan, with the construction of palaces, monuments, and basins under the Aghlabids.

Breakfast at the hotel, check-out, and depart for the visit to El Jem.
El Jem: The ancient Thysdrus, known for its elliptical colosseum, measuring 149m long, 124m wide, and 26m high, with three tiers of galleries accommodating 30,000 spectators. It ranks sixth among the best-preserved colosseums after those in Rome, Capua, Pozzuoli, Verona, and Carthage.
Depart for Monastir. Visit the Ribat and Bourguiba Mausoleum.
Monastir: Originally known as Ruspina, Monastir became a fortress with the construction of its Ribat. It is the birthplace of Tunisia’s first president, Habib Bourguiba. The Bourguiba Mausoleum is a luxurious traditional structure with a golden dome and two 25-meter-high minarets.
Continue to Sousse. Dinner and overnight stay at Occidental Sousse Marhaba 4* hotel or similar.
After breakfast, depart for Sousse. Visit the Medina of Sousse.
Medina of Sousse: A modest area with diverse monuments and lively souks, descending toward the sea in a charming maze of white streets and Ottoman stairs.
Depart for Hammamet. Lunch and visit Dar Sebastian and the Medina.
HAMMAMET: Launched in the 1920s by Romanian billionaire Georges Sebastian, Hammamet became a popular tourist destination. The old medina, enclosed by ramparts, still retains some charm. Hammamet is also known for its beautiful beaches.
The International Cultural Center: Located in a stunning villa, Dar Sebastian, surrounded by a vast green park. The villa was donated to the Tunisian state by its former owner, Georges Sebastian. He and the American couple, the Hensons, contributed significantly to the city’s fame by inviting numerous artists such as Giacometti, Gide, Cocteau, and Klee. Hammamet became a new jet-set destination of the era.

NABEUL: Capital of the Cap Bon Peninsula, known for its citrus groves, vegetable crops, vineyards, and as the pottery, ceramics, and embroidery capital.
KERKOUANE: A Punic city abandoned in the mid-2nd century BC. Its well-preserved walls offer a glimpse into ancient homes, each with an individual bathroom featuring a Greek-style “sabot bathtub.”
KELIBIA: A charming fishing port surrounded by olive groves, vineyards, and beautiful beaches. An ancient fortress, now a Borj, flanked by towers, overlooks the harbor.
EL HAOUARIA: Known for its ancient sandstone quarries. From the Ras Addar point or Cape Bon, enjoy a grandiose view that stretches to the Sicilian coast. The area is famous for falconry from April to June.
